This was followed by the release of an environmental filing in March saying a new plant owned by JAC is scheduled for completion in 2025 in the eastern Chinese city of Hefei, giving them an annual capacity of 35,000 units for the van, as TechNode reported previously. JAC chair Xiang Xingchu confirmed the plan in his speech at this year’s China Auto Forum in Shanghai in July, adding that the new plant was almost completed and that capacity will eventually be expanded to 200,000 units per year, as more models are being planned.
