A profile appeared in LA Weekly last Friday called "Sky Ferreira's sex appeal is what pop music needs right now," which among various offenses, credits Ferreira's success entirely to sex appeal (instead of actual artistic talent). The article also includes generally creepy descriptions such as "cherubic" and "like a freshly licked lollipop."

Ferreira responded on Twitter, not only to the LA Weeklyprofile, but to speak to the larger way the media talks about her and the profile being just an extreme example.
