In an interview with The Advocateon Thursday, the star came out with news of her own. Though Aubrey's character, April Ludgate, might have been in love with bumbling Andy Dwyer on the show, the real Aubrey falls in love with both men and women.
When asked if women came onto her, Plaza responded:

"Oh, yeah. I don’t mind. I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy. Girls are into me — that’s no secret. Hey, I’m into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys. I can’t help it," Plaza told The Advocate.
For some queer women, the news came as if from a dream: it was theoretically possible that she was in love with us, too.
The week before, Plaza admitted on Watch What Happens Livethat she, too, had dipped into "the lady pond," a.k.a. the best metaphor of all time.

When asked how she "butched up" against Marisa Tomei in She Said, She Said, Plaza responded: "Can’t we do a whole movie where I get to come on to Marisa Tomei?"
