ESL Pro League S16 Group B is set to start on March 1 and accompanying it will be another HLTV.org Fantasy game. The HLTV x Roobet league will grant the three top-placed users skin prizes and contribute to the Spring season leaderboard.
HEROIC and Complexity headline the group as the two highest-ranked teams, with MOUZ, FURIA, and BIG also among the main contenders to advance. Joining them are three underdogs teams in the form of SAW, Movistar Riders, and Imperial, who will be looking to upset the higher-rated teams in the group stage.
Important points to note are the LB & UB Final winners, as well as the UB losers, will get padding in the last two rounds (6th-7th place deciders; 4th place decider), whilst the Group A eighth-place decider winner gets no points for the LB Final & UB Final round.
HEROIC and MOUZ dominate the most picked players, with all eight most popular options coming from those teams. Jakob "?jabbi?" Nygaard ($206,000) has been picked almost twice as much as any other option, with players banking on the continuation of his form at IEM Katowice, where he averaged a 1.27 rating.
Following the Dane are four MOUZ players in the form of ádám "?torzsi?" Torzsás ($196,000), Jon "?JDC?" de Castro ($187,000), Dorian "?xertioN?" Berman ($201,000), and Christopher "?dexter?" Nong ($182,000). All four members provide low-priced options from a team that many have high expectations for, making them very popular options.
Rounding out the top eight picks is the HEROIC trio of Rasmus "?sjuush?" Beck ($204,000), Casper "?cadiaN?" M?ller ($216,000), and René "?TeSeS?" Madsen ($209,000). They represent a much higher financial outlay but given HEROIC are by far the highest-ranked team, they should provide a return on investment.
Outside of the top picks, Complexity's duo of Johnny "?JT?" Theodosiou ($179,000) and Justin "?FaNg?" Coakley ($196,000) have a relatively low price and might be worth a gamble, considering the team has shown some better form of late and has entered the top 10 in the world rankings after their performance in Katowice.
